History of Computing

The History of Computing series has played a major role in defining scholarship in the history of computing. Hallmarks of the series are its technical detail and interpretation of primary source materials.

The series editor is Tom Misa.

Previous editors include Bill Aspray and Bernard Cohen.

To submit a proposal to this series: please reach out to Tom Misa and me with a proposal and 1-2 sample chapters. If you do not hear back from anyone within two weeks, please follow up. Please note Tom will not consider proposals submitted to more than one MIT Press series concurrently. If you have questions about where your project might find the best fit, please send me an email and ask.
